The Prism Moon Series
Here is a little about me. I have been writing since I was in the sixth grade (so for quite some time). But I didn't start writing as most authors start. I started not so must for my love for storytelling that I do now, or my love for words. But rather the desire to have a love for them.
When I was in the sixth grade I was at a second-grade reading level and words just didn't make sense to me, but I wanted them to, desperately.
I used to watch my brother read to my dad for homework and I was determined to be able to do that. And I guess I always had an act for coming up with stories, so I thought the best way to learn how to read was to start writing.
So I did. I started writing my first book and I finished the first (of MANY) first draft in the eighth grade, and I was at and even above my reading level, all because of Dark, Light and Love. I found my love for reading and writing and I haven't stopped since.
Now... it has only been more recently, that I have taken over the pen name Missus Spintales. No, I am not a little old lady with a bonnet and apron by any stretch, but this name will always be a legend in my heart and my mind, and I have some big shoes to fill as a storyteller, taking on this name. For as long as I can remember my grandma had been Missus Spintales, she was a professional storyteller and I know it was from her that I fell in love stories. She brought the words to life when I wasn't able to make sense of them on the page. Growing up I wanted to be her when I grew up. Now I am all grown up and I am not telling stories quite as she did, but I am spinning my tale in my own way and I know that she is proud of me and what I have accomplished.
She was truly the Legend, I just hope I can live up to be the Legacy
